The No Soap studios are equipped with the absolute best cheap equipment we could buy on sale and figure out how to use. Our show is produced on (and sometimes in spite of):

Mics:  MXL-990 for Beth, Audio-Technica AT2020 for Chuck
Mixer:  Behringer Eurorack MXB1002.
Compressor/Gate:  DBX 266XL
Computer: Varies — usually a WinXP laptop, occasionally a Mac PowerBook or Mac G3 desktop
Recording/Editing software: Audacity, GarageBand on the Mac if there’s nothing better available (like a cassette recorder, for example, or wax phonograph cylinders)
Cart/SFX software: StudioRack (trial version)
