Unfortunately, I didn\u2019t have my camera with me so I didn\u2019t get a picture. I was tooling down the 101, heading north through the Cahuenga Pass near Hollywood Bowl, when I saw a motorcycle coming up on me in the left hand lane.<\/p>\n<p>White helmet with stars\u2026 White jumpsuit\u2026 V-neck pattern of white stars on a blue border\u2026 Cape flying behind him in the wind\u2026 It was Evel Knievel!!!<\/p>\n<p>I stuck my arm out the window and gave him a big thumbs-up as he passed. In return, he gave me a very Evel-esque wave of acknowledgement. It was a cool moment for me \u2014 I was in the presence of motorcycling royalty. Well, by proxy, at least. And he was on what I think was a Yamaha rather than a Harley. But still, it was pretty damned cool.<\/p>\n<p>Evel lives!
