I Told You S… Oh, Never Mind

Something else I wanted to mention and forgot in the last entry: politics. I pulled way back on the politics in here because it was just too tiresome. The same stupid arguments with the same stupid people holding the same stupid positions making the same stupid points with the same stupid insults… And that’s just what they thought about me. I got bored with it because, really, what’s the point? Nobody ever changes anyone’s mind in a political argument; it’s all about scoring points for your side. Why bother? So I laid off it.

Ah, but the recent events on the political landscape… Plummeting opinion ratings, indictments, investigations, truth finally coming to light, etc… You’d think I’d be excited. But no, I’m just tired. The rest of the country is finally waking up to what I was saying six years ago. I’ve been here all along, so it’s not news to me.

The really sad part is that being able to say “I told you so” doesn’t make it worth it. At all.

Indeed. I saw it coming back in ’94 when Shrub got elected governor of Texas. I knew that was a sign of the Apocalypse. But as you note, being able to say I Told You So doesn’t help when the damage is done.

Man, I totally feel the same way. You’d think I’d be gloating my ass off, but I’m just glad everyone is wising up, and thinking about other stuff now.

The sad thing is, even with the truth coming to light, etc…the Democrats (those that hold office, I mean) are such pussies that nothing, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, will change.

I had taken on the role of bitching and moaning about the whole sordid mess…. but the response was generally the sound of crickets chirping. At least Jon Stewart keeps me sane !

Good thing too! I stumbled into your website on accident after a mishapen google search. Found a few others just like it too. Well, technically I found my way into the archives (i.e. back before you stopped the political stuff) and it appeared to be nothing but a bunch of personal attacks and slanderous comments on people’s appearances, or bad jokes. I have as of yet to see a single ‘liberal’ blog that actually addresses issues with anything other than the mainstream-left montra of put downs, petty cracks and immature bathroom humor.

I can’t help but sit back and scratch my head and wonder what makes the ‘liberal’ mindset out there so hate filled and vitriolic. But then again, I guess that’s sorta like asking “why does the wind blow?”
I’m not a republican, but I can say for one thing – after the three sites I have read this morning I can say that my disdain for the left is unjustified.
So I guess I’ll just agree to disagree and wish you luck. I can see by the comments this thread has generated already that your ‘following’ hasn’t taken the same course. I guess to the lot of you I’ll say “have fun blowing wind”

self correction – that third paragraph should have read:

“… after the three sites I have read this morning I can say that my disdain for the left is _not_ unjustified …”

It didn’t give me an option to edit after I noticed the mistake.

That was the auto-correcting bullshit filter kicking in. :)
